Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 2024

🔒 The short version: We do not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit any personal information or browsing data. Everything stays on your device.

What This Extension Does

Amazon to Marketplace is a browser extension that helps you copy product information from Amazon to create listings on Facebook Marketplace. It runs entirely in your browser.

Data Storage

What stays on your device:

  • Product data you explicitly grab from a page, stored locally via chrome.storage.local and used only to pre-fill the destination form.
  • Your preferences and any API keys you enter, stored via chrome.storage.sync so they follow your Chrome profile.

What We Do NOT Do

  • No tracking, analytics, or telemetry
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of data with third parties
  • No data sent to servers we control
  • No collection of browsing history
  • No collection of personal information

Third-Party AI Services

If you choose to enable the AI enhancement feature and enter your own API key, text is sent from your browser directly to that provider's API (Google Gemini or Groq). This communication happens directly between your browser and their servers — we do not see, intercept, or log these requests.

Please review the privacy policies of these services:

Permissions

This extension requests the following permissions:

  • activeTab — To read product data from the current Amazon page when you click "Grab"
  • storage — To save your preferences and grabbed product data locally
  • Host permissions for Amazon and Facebook — To inject the grabbing/filling functionality on these sites

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
